Resident Assistants (RA)
Resident Assistants (RA): Resident Assistants are a critical part of the Residence Life staff. They are continuing students who go through a rigorous selection and training process to prepare them to serve the residents in the best possible way. RAs are assigned to each building, where their duties include:
• Serving as a peer advisor
• Assisting with facilitating communication between and among residents
• Planning events and activities to foster a positive living learning community and enhance students’ success
• Serving in an on-call rotation to respond to overnight emergencies
RA’s are compensated with a room and board package. Recruitment for the RA position begins in November through to January each year to select staff for the following year. All applications for 2013/2014 academic school year will be due 27th January, 2013 by 11:59 pm.
