UC Merced has changed the student Meal Plan Programs for the Fall of 2019 in order to better accommodate the room and board function of the meal plans. Cat Dollars are designed to supplement the dining programs for the convenience of our students. Cat Dollars can be spent in the Pavilion, Lantern Café, Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center, Food Trucks, the Marketplace, Produce-On-The-Go, Campus Store and in vending machines for food and sundry non-food merchandise. Cat Dollars can also be used on campus for printing and laundry machine use. Additional Cat Dollars can be added to your account at any time. Your Cat Dollar balance will remain in your Cat Card account and roll over year after year unless a refund is requested upon disassociation with the University.
It is important to note that with this change in functionality to supplement dining programs with other on-campus meal service options, Cat Dollars can no longer be used to pay student bills. Please consider this change when you plan your budgets this coming academic year.
